Contract: Altera Sunrise EPR Product Specialist
Rate: £400 per day + VAT, outside IR35
Location: Remote

Penpole Consulting is supporting an NHS Trust on a major digital transformation programme and is seeking an experienced Altera Sunrise EPR Product Specialist to join the configuration workstream.
As the product specialist, you will:
- Work closely with the Trust’s Clinical Applications Support team to manage and resolve a backlog of change requests critical to successful programme delivery.
- Configure the EPR system, including forms, appointments, clinics, requests, results, and related modules.
- Execute comprehensive testing activities, including test plans, test scripts, regression, integration, black box, and UAT testing.
- Provide on-site go-live support (floorwalking) when required and assist with transition into BAU support.
- Produce clear, accurate, and timely progress reports for the Workstream Lead and Project Management team.
- Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across laboratories, acute hospitals, suppliers, and internal digital teams including configuration, integration, testing, training, change, programme management, and leadership.
- Rapidly understand organisational processes and adapt your approach to meet programme needs.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Proven experience configuring and testing Altera Sunrise EPR
- Strong background in regression testing within acute clinical systems
- A proactive and highly organised approach
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and build trust quickly with stakeholders
